A Croatian Summer

hosted by Chef Kevin Fonzo | August 27 - September 3, 2021

SOLD OUT - GET WAIT LISTED (see below)

Join Chef Kevin Fonzo and Art In Voyage's CEO Mikael Audebert as they invite you to spend a week at their Villa located on the island of Brac, Croatia. We focus on fresh air, outdoors, and getting rid of that cabin fever we have all been victims of. For this journey, we have favored location over superlative. Our beautiful villa boasts incredible views and has direct access to a rock beach, while humble rooms provide guests all the comfort they need for an adventure focused on fresh air and the outdoors.
One of the prettiest and least busy islands of Dalmatia, Brac is also one of the sunniest and for our foodies and winos, known for its fishing and agricultural products. Here, locals produce great wine, olive oil, figs, nectarines, and other fruits. Our week-long will be about as much or as little as you'd like to do. Tours and activities will rhyme our schedule, yet, all are optional in attendance. You will also have a chance to visit two neighboring islands of Vis and Hvar as well as spend a whole day yachting the crystal clear blue waters of the Adriatic. For guests looking for a day of more intense activities, the island has some of the best hiking and biking trails, with its highest elevation point standing at 418 meters. Scuba diving, snorkeling, and other water activities can also be organized for you. See you in Brac for a Croatian Summer to remember!

Day 1

Welcome to Brac, Croatia
Upon arriving in Split, you are picked up by our private driver and transferred to the port where our private speed boat awaits to take you home. On arrival, you are greeted with cocktails & lite bites on our patio, overlooking the Adriatic sea.
After some time to unpack and settle, we gather for our welcome dinner at the villa, carefully prepared by Chef Fonzo and paired with local and international wines.

Day 2

A day on Brac
After a breakfast overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic, we make our way to the west of the island. Along the way, we will uncover some of what it is known for, with farm visits and tastings along the way. Our lunch will be held at the incredible Lemon Garden Hotel at Sutivan, where their chef has prepared a 5-course tasting menu, paired with local wines. This afternoon, we continue our exploration of the island with a stop at some of the local towns for some time at leisure, and of course, wine tasting at one of the few estates on the island. Tonight, dinner is held at the villa and prepared by Chef Fonzo.

Day 3

Yachting & Blue Caves
Today, only towels and swimsuits will be needed. We embark on our very own private yacht and make our way to the blue caves, on the other side of Vis island. During our journey there, and throughout the day, beverages and snacks will be served on board. We then continue on to Vis Island where we have organized lunch at the famous Roki's Estate. There, traditional Croatian dishes and wine, made on their own estate, will be served. The rest of the afternoon is spent enjoying swimming at local coves, before making our way home.
Tonight a more casual dinner awaits, with dishes cooked on a wood fire.

Day 4

Cooking class and..chill!
Today is at leisure. After a day sun-filled, sleep in, enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters of our private beach or have our hosts organize a hike or bike tour through the island. For those eager to learn more about Croatian cuisine, Chef Fonzo will hit some of the local markets and will then hold a cooking class, which will be followed by lunch. The rest of the day remains at leisure, and tonight, dinner is prepared and served at the villa, paired with yet another exquisite selection of local and international wines.
And if your day was just..too slow, we can organize transportation to Varadero, close to Bol harbor. Very much a summer-only operation, Varadero attracts a few name Croatian DJs over the course of the season, where cocktails are to be enjoyed with friends beneath the open huts done out in tiki style.

Day 5

Hvar Island
After a morning at leisure, our private speed boat picks us up for a fast ride to the island of Hvar. There, guests may enjoy the whole afternoon in the town, enjoying cafe terraces, slowing down for lunch, or just doing some major shopping. Your hosts will be available to set up small tours and excursions to some of Hvar's highlights or provide guidance to do those on their own. Some of our favorite sites in Hvar are the Spanish Fortress, St. Stephens Cathedral, the 15th-century Franciscan Monastery, and spending an afternoon at Hula Hula Beach Bar.
Tonight, dinner is served at the villa and prepared by Chef Fonzo and a local Croatian Chef, bringing in an additional twist.

Pučišća & Gourmet Dining
Today, we have organized a wellness day. Guests will be hosted at a local resort for a spa day. Art In Voyage has included a 60-minute massage and access to spa facilities. For guests interested in something more active, we have included a two hour-catamaran adventure
Later today, we make our way to Pučišća, where we walk the streets of this ancient town known for its stonemason school and savoir-faire. We end the afternoon at the incredible Puteus Palace in Pučišća where we are expected for cocktails and a lovely dinner under the lemon trees, all paired with some fantastic local and international wines.

Day 7

Day trip to Trogir
This morning, for guests eager to discover more of Croatia's incredible medieval towns and cities, we make our way to Trogir, gem of the Adriatic. Its preserved old town, known for its mix of Renaissance, baroque and Romanesque buildings, lies on a small island connected to the mainland and the island of Čiovo by bridges. The 13th-century Cathedral of St. Lawrence houses the Renaissance Chapel of St. John and offers sweeping views from its bell tower. Parts of the medieval city walls remain intact.
For guests with another center of interest, our hosts will be delighted to assist in setting up alternative options. Back at the villa, Chef Fonzo and a local chef have prepared our farewell feast, paired with lovely wines from the Istria region of Croatia.

Day 8

After breakfast, you are transferred by speed boat to Split where a private driver awaits to take you to Split airport.
