Be personally welcomed and see the first glimpse of the beauty of Patagonia as you are whisked away to the Estancia—home for two nights. Experience South American hospitality at its best as you spend the night wining and dining with our hosts underneath the stars.

Day 2: Gaucho for a day

Take a deep breath of crisp air as you wake up to the sounds of ranch life and nature. Spend the day exploring the Estancia in true Gaucho-style on horseback. Or, take a more leisurely approach and test out the 4x4 trails and explore the ranch on foot. Be sure to work up an appetite to make space for the evening’s culinary celebration.

Day 3: Perito Moreno Glacier

Bid a fond farewell to our hosts at the Estancia and head out to find one of nature’s most phenomenal features: the Perito Moreno Glacier, known to some as the 8th wonder of the world. Make sure that your cameras are charged and take your time. You’ll want to capture every moment of this breath-taking day. Spend the night in el Calafate and taste the local specialities in the many upscale restaurants and eateries.

Day 4: Road Trip to Torres del Paine

From el Calafate we hit the road and travel to Torres del Paine National Park. Set up home in Patagonia Camp, the first luxury camp in South America. Stay in magnificent yurts, redesigned to cater to your every need. Explore the many raised walkways and views overlooking mountains and lakes. Watch the day come to a close from the warm and welcoming restaurant while dining on some of the finest cuisine in the country.

Day 5: Torres del Paine

Wake to awe-inspiring views from your private suite. For the more adventurous, there’s a choice of horseback riding, trekking, or kayaking for the day. All in the accompaniment of a private guide, seeing to your every need. For those who would like some rest and relaxation, spend the day at camp recharging. Go fishing or take a stroll on one of the many self-guided walks, spend time reading in the cozy lounge or just be in the moment among nature in all its splendor.

Day 6: Torres del Paine

Take the opportunity to explore more of Torres Del Paine on horseback, on foot, or from the water. Your private guide will be there to help you experience it to the full. Or spend the day in luxury, unwinding and enjoying the time surrounded by peace and tranquility. Make every second count and stay up late enjoying the warmth and comfort of the restaurant and company while watching the changing face of the mountains at night.

Day 7: Cruise Through the Strait of Magellan

The next phase of our journey starts with a road trip south to Punta Arenas. Board the ship and enjoy a welcoming toast from the captain and crew. Spend time exploring the ship or watch the ever-changing scenery go by as we set sail through the fjords of Chile.

Day 8: Cruise Through the Strait of Magellan

Our ship takes us through the expansive Seno Almirantazo Ford, the first marine protected area in Chile’s Tierra del Fuego. Home to a myriad of species including elephant and leopard seals, and Magellan Penguins. Dock at Ainsworth Bay and take part in one of two guided excursions through one of the most protected areas in Chilean Patagonia. After lunch, explore the Tucker Islets aboard a Zodiac. Get up close and personal with the thousands of penguins that call it home. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter a pod of dolphins or orcas.

Day 9: Cruise Through the Strait of Magellan

After breakfast, board the Zodiacs to set off on the Pia Glacier tour. Take a short hike to a panoramic view of the retreating glacier extending from the heights of the mountains to the sea. Return to the ship to continue our journey through Glacier Alley. Passing spectacular mountains and glacier waterfalls, keep your camera ready to capture the magnificent scenery and the changing light as the day fades.

Day 10: Cruise Through the Strait of Magellan

After a night of cruising, we arrive in Cape Horn National Park. Weather and sea permitting, explore the tiny island of Hornos with the Cape Horn Monument that commemorates the many lives lost at sea. By afternoon, we land at Wulaia Bay where we set off on a choice of three hikes all through the enchanted Magellan forest which culminates in a spectacular viewpoint over the bay.

Day 11: Take the opportunity to extend your stay...

The last leg of our journey takes us back into Argentina, to Ushuaia — known as the world’s most southern city. The easiest way back to El Calafate is via Buenos Aires. Extend your time with us and explore the jewel of Argentina before heading back home with South America in your heart.

Estancia Cristina

Located at the far end of the Cristina Channel on the northwest coast of Lake Argentino, Estancia Cristina stands on a remote corner of the “Los Glaciares” National Park. Founded in 1914 by Joseph Percival Masters and his wife Jessie, the Estancia still conserves its essence, maintaining alive the history of this pioneering family who through enormous effort and perseverance, turned this inhospitable and solitary place into a small piece of paradise.

Accessible only by boat on Lake Argentino and then on the Cristina Channel, Estancia Cristina stands on an exclusive and privileged setting in the Argentine Patagonia. Strategically built on a glacial valley formerly occupied by the Upsala Glacier, one of the area’s most spectacular natural settings, the Estancia is surrounded by picturesque views of snow-capped mountains, lakes, rivers and hanging glaciers.

The visit to Estancia Cristina begins by navigating the North Arm of the Argentino Lake, enjoying a unique and magical landscape where the Icebergs and the mountains are protagonists. Their boat is the only way to access the valley. Making their visitors protagonists at every moment, transforms the experience into unique and unrepeatable.

Stay at Estancia Cristina and experience firsthand life at a colonial Patagonian ranch-style lodge. Its remote location makes it ideal for an authentic off-the-grid experience. The Estancia offers all services and accommodations to enjoy a unique experience tailored for each guest.

Patagonia Camp

Patagonia Camp is the first luxury camp in South America!

From the very beginning, Patagonia Camp has been developed based on sustainable principles. It was built using the most eco-friendly methods, all while being the most respectful possible for its native environment. Most of the staff is based locally and this allows guests to experience a unique cultural exchange where they can learn and understand the local customs and history of Patagonia.

Patagonia Camp was created so that each of the guests can feel and enjoy the wonderful nature of Patagonia from the comfort of their own private room. The yurts provide guests a unique experience to be able to have an intimate contact with nature – the magical sounds of the wind blowing, rain falling and being able to see the stars all from the central dome of your yurt. The concept allows you to experience one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes right from your windows alongside being surrounded by an incredible and aromatic native forest where the walkways and viewing platforms are located.

Originating from Mongolian nomads, yurts are lightly colored and circular in shape and designed to maximize both light and heat energy efficiently. At Patagonia Camp, the yurts are adapted to the Patagonian landscape, and provide all the comborts of a conventional hotel room: Central Heating, Ensuite Bathrooms, Amenities and a comfortable interior décor with handmade furniture and textiles.

The 20 yurts are connected by wooden walkways that weave through native Patagonian forests that surround the site. All of the yurts feature impressive views of Lake Toro and the famous Cuernos del Paine. You will be accommodated in the “Yurt Deluxe+Jacuzzi”, featuring a room, ensuite bathroom, private terrace and outdoor jacuzzi. If you select the upgrade option, you will have access to the “Yurt Suite” featuring a room, a lounge, ensuite bathroom, private terrace and outdoor jacuzzi.
