Clean, charming, colorful, and a gorgeous forest hike to a fairy-like castle in the middle of the city...need I say more?
Being a crazy cat lady, this city felt like I had arrived in heaven with the abundance of cats that are so well cared for and loved by locals. Spending a month in this vibrant city felt like a new adventure every day, exploring the many districts and hidden gems!
This laid-back town kept me extending my time here while I was backpacking through Sri Lanka. From the breathtaking hikes to the vibey cafes and eateries, I felt at peace and at home in Ella.
Savanna grew up in Durban, South Africa, and made her way to the Western Cape to achieve a degree at Stellenbosch University before settling in Cape Town to pursue her marketing career.
During the peak of her marketing career, the urge to travel became too strong to ignore, and she packed up her life and embarked on a year of traveling to 17 countries in Europe and Asia. The year consisted of Workaway adventures, including working at a yoga retreat in Portugal, a smallholding in Hungary, and a rural school in Sri Lanka, as well as continuing digital marketing online.
As the Marketing Director of Art In Voyage, Savanna now combines her love for travel with her passion for all things marketing.
