Abbaye de la Bussière

Côte-d’Or, France

With a lake and a botanical garden, the grounds of this 12th century Cistercian abbey are marked by a long tradition of humility, peace, and hospitality and exude tranquillity. Magnificently restored by the Cummings family, the subtle architecture of the exterior of the Abbaye de la Bussière contrasts with the spectacular interior design, which incorporates ancient frescoes discovered during the renovation of the building. Antique furniture and silken fabrics create an ambiance of subtle sophistication and pure elegance. Dine in a cathedral-like setting and enjoy a wine list that offers the very best of Burgundy.

Mike & Leah C.

Freshly back from a Burgundy & Beaujolais experience with Mikael and his local wine experts. We learned so much about French wine, topped by incredible culinary feasts. The accommodations were over the top, yet, authentic and very “French”. We left our hearts in France but were ready for some more adventures with Art In Voyage. Great job guys!

This is the second trip we have taken with Mikael and Art in Voyage and are already planning our third with him and his team. Our introduction to Burgundy was mind-blowing.
They are service focused, they offer well-crafted journeys and we always have a great experience. They incorporate interesting venues and experiences that we would not have found on our own. Great job! See you in 2023!
