While providing plenty of time to just enjoy a lovely start of the fall in Italy, it also includes an array of food and wine experiences fit for royalty along with rich cultural adventures. Join us, and your host, our CEO on this last-minute departure, and you will find yourselves immersed in sensational colors, flavors, and surreal views. Pampered for 7 nights in a spectacular estate overlooking the beautiful lake of Trasemino and surrounded by olive groves, enjoy home-cooked meals prepared by our local Chef, and revel in the delight of your en-suite bedroom.
Upon your arrival in Rome, you will be collected and whisked on an adventure that begins with a self-guided visit to Orvieto, followed by a lovely, leisurely lunch (own account). We then take a short drive to what will be your stunning home for the exciting week that lies ahead of you. In the evening, our chef will tantalize your palate with traditional cuisine and perfectly paired wine. We welcome you to Umbria, a mesmerizing place, indeed. Rest assured that your hosts will do their utmost to cater to your needs, all you have to do is revel in the luxury and delight of your surroundings.
On this Sunday morning, for those feeling like uncovering some of the local towns, join us as we make our way to the incredible town of Assisi. Your private guide awaits for a fun & engaging 3-hour walking tour. It is followed by lunch (own account). Stay long for some shopping, or return to the property to indulge in some leisure time. Why not take a dip in the pool, get a massage, or read a good book alongside it? Dinner and drinks will be served amidst the incredible views, as the sun sets over the impeccable estate.
Today, after a morning at leisure, our local chef introduces you to the art of making pasta and tiramisu in the comfort of our villa, all before lunch is served. After a quick "siesta," guests are invited to join their host for a casual visit to Perugia and its famous chocolate by stopping at some of the local artisans for a tasting. Or simply stay behind and enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the pool. Tonight, it is pizza night and guests are invited to join our chef around the outdoor pizza over to make their own.
After another wonderful breakfast, we make our way to Tuscany. We start with Siena, home to the famous "Palio", where our local guide greets us for a short, yet fun tour of the city's main attractions. After lunch (own account), we hit up a smaller yet not any less exciting town of Tuscany: Montepulciano. On the way home, we stop at one of our favorite local wineries for some tastings. Tonight, dinner is carefully prepared by our Chef and served at the villa, paired with lovely Tuscan wines.
Enjoy a day at leisure. Relax at the villa or have your host organize a day of memorable experience. Be it a truffle hunting one, a day boating on the lake, horseback riding, more wine tastings, or a simple drop-off at a local town for some exploration, our concierge team is standing by to assist and oblige. Tonight, we enjoy a lovely dinner at a 14th-century palace's wine cellar, paired with some of the region's most incredible wines.
Today guests are invited to join their host for a day trip to Florence. The day will be spent in the Tuscan Capital, at leisure, with your host's recommendations. Private guided tours may be organized (small supplement) for guests visiting the city for the first time. Guests preferring to enjoy some of the region's wineries, a second vehicle will be departing for Chianti or Montalcino wine estates for a day of tasting. Tonight, dinner is at leisure as well. Guests will be invited to try local trattorias.
Today is yours to do as you please, do as much or as little as you please. Relax by the pool, or experience an array of exciting activities. If staying at the villa, lunch will be included. Be it horseback riding and hiking, boating on the lake, or shopping for locally made cashmere and ceramic products, we will be delighted to assist. In the evening, our Chef prepares an Umbria and Tuscan-inspired meal to remember, paired with some of our favorite wines.
It is time to say "Ciao" a tutti! Your transfer back to Rome will be included (to either the airport or a city - Transfers to other cities can also be arranged for a small supplement). Should you look to extend your stay in Italy, or Europe, our team will be delighted to assist.
We’ve just returned home from an amazing trip to Umbria, Italy!! We had a fantastic time, the villa and its grounds were breathtaking!! Mikael & Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable vacation… and they succeeded!! Already booked our next trip with Art In Voyage!!
Wonderful week in Umbria. The food and wine were fabulous! Our daily tours were fun, and we learned a lot. It would be impossible to say what I liked the most, because everything was great! Our hosts went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were met. It was perfect!

Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.
All listed retreats (hotels, villas, and barges) are, at times, subject to changes. In such rare instances, similar or higher standards will be upheld.
Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
Deposit non refundable in case of a cancellation by the guest more that 24 hours after making the reservation.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
