Join us for a sweeping journey through the Puget Sound region of Washington state and British Columbia, Canada for a focus on breathtaking views and savory local cuisine.
This is not you typical farm-to-table, forest-to-table or boat-to-table here. What you will find in front of you on this journey will appeal to all of your senses. From the beauty of the scenery surrounding you to the memorable cuisine of the region, from the unforgettable hospitality of the locals to the majestic wildlife of the sounds, you may just feel like a week is simply not enough.
We are excited to show you and a small group of like-minded guests one of North America's greatest treasures by land, sea and sky.
To further our exploration of North America, Art In Voyage invites you to experience Canada and the Pacific Northwestern corner of the United States with a focus on local cuisine and gorgeous coastal landscapes. We will explore Victoria, Vancouver, the San Juan Islands, and the Seattle area in search of fresh seafood, local harvests and great wine.
To diversify your experience, we will take to the skies for scenic flights; boats for whale watching and coastal views, and drives on picturesque road to see and taste all that the area has to offer.
While we have an exciting itinerary, guests interested in doing so will be able to be pampered at one of our favorite local spa, and for couples interested in doing so, romantic wine picnics may be arranged on days at leisure. In short, need a day off from us (or two), our team will be delighted to assist in setting you up for your very own exclusive experience.
Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the area offers more than 100 biking and hiking trails, across vineyards, woods, mountains and valleys. Guests looking to escape some of the food & wine adventures with a morning hike, or an afternoon horseback riding experience will feel right at home in Washington, and on our journey.
Upon landing in Victoria, you are greeted by our team to depart for our villa. Tonight, a welcome cocktail awaits before our first dinner is served with our favorite wines. Should you arrive earlier in the day, our travel concierge will be delighted to set you up for a private afternoon guided tour of the city.
We begin the day with a delicious breakfast before making our way to Vancouver in premium class aboard a scenic ferry ride. There will be no lack of coastal views, with the hope of seeing local whale pods. In Vancouver we'll enjoy a Michelin Star tasting lunch before taking on the city with a private guided walking. The ride home will be by scenic floater plane, after which we enjoy dinner at the villa, with your favorite wines.
After having a full traditional breakfast at the villa, we embark on a drive to Victoria, where we will have a private guide to show us around the vibrant floral city. From there, we will take a scenic drive to visit wineries and enjoy lunch on us. Finally, we will enjoy an early evening at Butchart Gardens before making our way back to the villa, where our chef has prepared yet another lovely dinner, paired with local wines.
Today, we say goodbye to our villa and take the skies again for a beautiful scenic flight to Seattle. From there we will have a private transfer to our downtown accommodation, followed by a guided tour of the Emerald City. During your guided tour, our chef will be busy shopping for fresh ingredients used at tonight's cooking class. After freshening up, join the Chef and get ready for bubbly in one hand, and knife in the other. The evening ends with a lovely dinner with regional wines.
Today we set sail for the San Juan Islands to experience a shellfish farm tour with oyster tasting and a picnic lunch. From there, we'll visit Friday Harbor where you'll have time to choose your own adventure: Visit the Whale Museum, go on a whale watching adventure, kayak to search for whales or shoppe in the quaint village that was featured on the hit movie "Practical Magic." A picnic will be organized. After a delightful afternoon in Friday Harbor, we take to the waters once again destined for Seattle. Dinner at leisure with our recommendations.
Say goodbye to Seattle, as we make our way to Snoqualmie Falls. Before checking into our new home: Salish Lodge, we will make a pit stop to visit a couple local wineries and enjoy lunch. From there you have the afternoon free at the hotel where you can splurge with a $150 spa credit, take in the famous Snoqualmie waterfalls right outside your door. Tonight, we recommend dinner at one of the property's several delightful eateries.
Today, we recommend several of the activities that may be found in the area such as biking, hiking or rafting/kayaking. Your hosts would be delighted to organize this for you (own account). For guests eager to enjoy more of the region's excellent wines, a vehicle will be dedicated to wine tour and tasting. Tonight, our farewell dinner will be held at the Chef's table.
Why not extend? The weekend is only getting started. Allow us to arrange for an extra night, or two. Spend more time in Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, or maybe visit Astoria or Cannon Beach, before flying home from Seattle. Either way, you will receive a private transfer from one of our local partners.
