The majesty of South Africa never ceases to amaze our guests. As every one of them have before, there is no doubt in our mind you too will fall under its spell.
Cape Town’s stunning location between the mountains and the deep blue sea is matched only by its cosmopolitan joys. The culture and cuisine offer a unique taste of the Mother City’s delights. In the Winelands, our very own wine expert introduces you to the world-famous wine of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. There, the wineries have breath-taking vine-laden landscape backdrops. Many of them are historical farms with beautiful Cape Dutch manors houses, gardens, hotels and fine-dining restaurants. Lastly, embark on a memorable and unbeatable safari at our private luxury tented camp. Tick off Big Five and experience much more classic South African wildlife.
But what else do you call a place where you could happily slalom between penguins waddling on the Cape and lions stalking the bushveld, cinematic coastal switchbacks and burnt Kalahari sand, the oldest wine industry outside Europe and cutting edge fusion cuisine?
You really can’t overstate the case for visiting Cape Town. First, there’s the in-your-face beauty of a craggy mountain range that drops precipitously into a glittering sea, its flanks carpeted in green. Then there’s the pristine white beaches lapped by – it must be said – a chilly Atlantic, their curves defined by giant granite boulders to bake on, and burbling mountain streams in dappled forests.
That's lion, elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard and rhino, in case you weren't sure. And then there's hippo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, meerkats, wild dogs, kudu, hyena and ostrich. All free-roaming in one national park, where luxury tenting awaits!
There are more than 150 cellars in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, both part of the Winelands region (45 minutes away from Cape Town). There, you can also explore art galleries, sip more wine and sample local dishes in gracious Cape Dutch estates
After being transferred to our host property by our private driver, unpack and relax. We have set aside a one-hour spa treatment to help with the jet lag. Late afternoon, we walk the short distance to the famous waterfront, its African Modern Art museum and a lovely sunset at the top of the remarkable Silo Hotel. It is followed by a 3-course dinner, with wine pairings, held in their private and eclectic dinning room.
This morning, we meet up with our local certified guide who takes us on a history and cultural tour, including the colorful district of Bo Kaap. The mountain is one of the 7th new wonders of the world and boasts stunning views of the whole peninsula. Tonight, dinner is at leisure with our recommendations.
Mid-day, we head to the Woodstock district and the famous market at the old biscuit. The colorful neighborhood originally began with a few fishermen’s houses and farm cottages. There, we uncover local artisans but most importantly, incredible local food stalls and live music. A few feet away, we are expected for a gin tasting. After a stop at one of our favorite eateries in the shadow of Table Mountain, we arrive at Kirstenbosch gardens. Tonight, you are invited to join us at one of our favorite eatery for a memorable dinner (included)
This whole day activity is a circle a Table Mountain National Park. We start with a stop in the eclectic seaside town of Kaulk Bay. Tonight is at leisure, and for your last night in Cape Town, enjoy some of our favorite eateries, or ask your host to organize something special for you and your travel companion.
This morning, the wine fairy meets us in the winelands for a day to be remembered. After carefully selecting 2-3 wineries based on our guests preferences, we start a fun and incredible wine tour in an incredible setting. For lunch, we have prepared for you a picnic in the vineyard. Tonight is at leisure and dining recommendations in town will be provided, or simply enjoy your wine farm with an in-house traditional dinner.

Everything was 5 stars… accommodations, food, excursions & the hosting people throughout our entire travels. This was a journey of a lifetime in the most comfortable, fun, educational & a-a-amazing fashion. This was our first journey with Art In Voyage and will not be our last. We plan on filling up some travels with more family & friends. I never thought I would enjoy a “group” travel, but being small & intimate was absolutely perfect, meeting some new forever friends. Thank you, thank you, Mikael!! XOXO
