Each day is “everything truffle”: guided hunts, tasting menus, Barolo pairings, and hands-on cooking sessions starring the prized tuber magnatum (white truffle).

Today, we mimic Italian chefs! With a glass of Spumante or Prosecco in hand, our local chef welcomes us to a farm where we learn to make fresh pasta and an array of other Italian dishes, with a focus on Piedmont cuisine. After our culinary adventure, we enjoy lunch and complete the day with a stop at the G.C Vajra winery for a private visit and tasting. In the evening, our host takes us to Barolo, where we discover this charming town and have dinner at leisure.

After a Truffle-free morning and afternoon to enjoy a spa treatment or simply sleep in, we spend some time with Chef March Lanteri, who guides our guests through his truffle selection before a demonstration on the life of a truffle through his cooking. Our farewell dinner is hosted at his Michelin-starred restaurant, where we have a truffle-based tasting dinner, paired with divine wines, served.
This morning, we could privately transfer you to Milan airport, the city, or the train station. Or else, you could extend your stay to Lake Como or Venice! What about venturing beyond Italy? As we anticipated, this was a wonderful experience with our tour guide/chef Kevin Fonzo. Every dining experience was a sampling of Piemonte cuisine; every winery was an amazing representation of the grape varietals in this region. Our accommodations at Villa d’Amelia were superb. The staff at this establishment were warm, welcoming, and accommodating to all of our requests. Piemonte is a very beautiful wine region with very treacherous winding roads. Kevin did an excellent job of negotiating these roads, especially after dark. We visited all four of the major wine villages; Barolo, Asti, Alba, and Barbaresco. One of our traveling companions’ family is from a small village in this region. Kevin took us to visit his family heritage town which was not on our itinerary but he was happy to accommodate this request. Overall, a wonderfully memorable experience. This is our 3rd trip with AIV and we are signed up for our fourth next year.
Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.

Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $1,000 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $1,000 per person administrative fee.
