Welcome to your Tuscany Wine Tour adventure! Arrive in Rome and meet the Art In Voyage team then hop into a private transfer bound for our villa on Lake Trasimeno. Settle in, soak up the views of Umbria and Tuscany, and shake off the travel fuzz. At sunset, sip an aperitivo, followed by a relaxed welcome dinner at the villa. Wines? Naturally. Tim, your sommelier extraordinaire for your journey, kicks things off with a curated pairing of Tuscan classics.

Start your day with a proper Italian breakfast (yes, that includes cake). Afterward, head into Siena for a private walking tour — think medieval lanes, odd saints, and horse race rivalry! Enjoy some time to wander and shop, then set off to a countryside winery for a long lunch of Tuscan dishes paired with vintages you won’t find back home. Return to the villa for downtime. Dinner is at one of our favorite trattorias in Assisi, known for its stellar wine cellar.
Lace up for a morning truffle hunt with a local expert (and an even more expert dog), then roll up your sleeves in a hands-on cooking class where today’s truffle spoils take center stage. Dig into a lunch paired with wines from one of the region’s smaller, standout producers. Further spoils: a massage awaits you when you return to the villa mid-afternoon. Dinner is served at the villa.
Depart early for the rolling hills of Chianti, close to Florence, where two Tuscany wine tasting tours await — both wildly different, both exceptional, both personally selected by your sommelier. Lunch is served among the vines — expect regional dishes and Chianti wines you’ll want to ship home (we can help with that). After a relaxed afternoon, enjoy dinner at a trattoria we return to time and again — for good reason.

Explore the Montefalco area with Tim as your personal wine insider, who’s got the keys to Umbria’s best-kept wine secrets. Sip bold reds and nibble your way through Umbrian cuisine — rustic, honest, and proud of it. Then amble through vineyard-laced hills with fewer tour buses and more truffle dogs. Back at the villa, dinner features the best of today’s Umbrian wines.
Sleep in, or ask your hosts to tee up a final adventure — think e-bikes, gentle hikes, or hilltop village hopping. In the late afternoon, visit a hidden gem in the hills of Montalcino — a boutique winery Tim, our sommelier swears by (and tries to keep secret). Wrap things up in style with a Michelin-starred dinner that pulls out all the stops — a true crescendo to your Tuscany wine trip.

Wonderful trip with Art In Voyage. Billed as a food and wine tour through Tuscany but it was much more then that. The villa was fantastic and the view was out of a movie scene. Mikael and Kevin could not have more helpful and they and our group soon became like family. Beautiful country and a great trip.
Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.
All listed retreats (hotels, villas, and barges) are, at times, subject to changes. In such rare instances, similar or higher standards will be upheld.
Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
