Welcome to our Spring feast, one that keeps us in the beautiful U. S of A, on the Atlantic coast. Have you met Charleston? Whether or not you have been here before, visit Charleston during a time of year that you will not want to miss. Hosted by several times James Beard Award Nominee Chef Kevin Fonzo, navigate the festival's events, hand-picked by Kevin.
The festival is a catalyst for connections that inspire curiosity through thoughtful storytelling and meaningful experiences with a sense of Place". Not, that's not our poetic side coming out, it is exactly how the festival describes itself. And it is right on point with what we know, and our personal experience. It also supports the Charleston and the Lowcountry’s diverse culinary + hospitality community.
And it helps that it is hosted in one of the most beautiful historic part of the city. So, join Kevin and Art In Voyage for a true feast of the senses.
You'll experience one of America's favorite culinary/wine appreciation festivals with a renowned, award winning Chef. He'll hand select events and experiences to participate in, with introductions to other chefs in the industry.
Chef Fonzo will bring you to some of his favorite restaurants as well as a private cocktail crafting experience at a local staple: The Gin Joint. It's like going to visit your friend, that takes you everywhere a visitor should go, even cooking for you, at home, one evening.
Welcome to The Chuck! After a short flight in from home, you are met with a private transfer to what will be your home for the next five nights: The Restoration. There, your host is awaiting your arrival, cocktails on hand. Get refreshed in your room before a quaint welcome reception. From there we will walk to the Opening Night Party at the Charleston Wine + Food Festival.
Today we start slow. Enjoy breakfast at our hotel, stroll the Historic District of Charleston before Chef Fonzo takes you to one of his friend's restaurants for a private lunch. From there, enjoy an afternoon of wine experiences as we visit Charleston Wine + Food Festival before heading back to our Hotel for a private cooking class/dinner in a unique spot!
After breakfast, we head out to the festival for a full day of events hand selected by Chef Fonzo. Experience the culinary village and night bazaar among other presentations. Chef Fonzo may even surprise you with some VIP perks. We end the day like we started..eating!
Have you had enough eating yet? We start the day with a breakfast event at the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, followed by a cocktail creation experience at a local staple: The Gin Joint. I am sure many of you will enjoy an afternoon at leisure before a great dinner at one of Chef Fonzo's picks.
Let's end this on a high note: Gospel brunch - Our afternoon will be at leisure; feel free to enjoy more of the festival or venture off to enjoy time in the city. Tonight our farewell dinner will take place as part of the famed Southern Renaissance dinner.
Had enough? Your private airport transfer will be ready when you are. Still hungry? Art in Voyage can create a personalized extension in Charleston or maybe the coast sounds better? Let us get creative for you.
Located on Charleston’s iconic King Street, The Restoration is at the center of it all.
In stitching together previously disconnected buildings, The Restoration bridges indoor and outdoor common areas, and historic and contemporary styles, with creative flair. A covered courtyard breezeway, complete with penny wishing fountain, leads from the sleek reception area to the comfortable library, where exposed brick, reclaimed wood beams and flooring add a vintage counterpoint to modern furniture and décor. The color scheme is indigo blue, a style native to Charleston.
Guests are welcome to peruse an impressive collection of Assouline titles (the hotel is the exclusive Southeast dealer for the art and culture publisher). The relaxed atmosphere is refined and luxurious yet not pretentious.
