Scott Joseph

Food Critic

Scott Joseph is our resident food critic, co-hosting journeys with an important culinary element at their chore, and teaching our guests some of the all while showcasing some of the best dishes and culinary techniques. As such, Scott focuses on not only educating guests on what to look for, but also that a good eatery does not have to be a Michelin-starred one to be exceptional.

In that time he established himself as the most trusted, reliable and comprehensive source of restaurant information in the region. During his career at the Sentinel, Scott wrote thousands of reviews, two of which have been important spotlights in the history of the newspaper:

  • Chow Hound: featured casual dining concepts and news about the local dining scene and national trends.
  • Table Matters: reviewed fine-dining restaurants.

Scott's other columns have included State FareTakeout CuisineThe Right Wine, and Let’s Do Lunch. He also wrote numerous articles and profiles.
