Upon your arrival in Lima, you are whisked away to our host property. After some time to freshen up, experience a Bohemian private guided tour and explore the "City of Kings" in the heart of Lima. We visit the Pedro de Osma Museum and the Las Pallas Art Gallery, before enjoying lunch at a local recommended eatery. In the evening, we have a welcome dinner with amazing wine pairings at Tragaluz restaurant, located at the beautiful Belmond Hotel.
After a delicious breakfast at your property, we take a scenic flight from Lima to Urubamba, an impeccable location, and our home for the next three glorious nights. After checking and settling in our beautiful hotel, we delight in afternoon tea on the property. Lunch will be served before a private explorer guide leads us on a trail walk of the gorgeous Twilight Mountain. As the sunsets, we have an authentic and traditional dinner back at the hotel.
Today, we enjoy breakfast served at the property, before a half-day history and culture trip, from Urubamba to the Sacred Valley. On the private guided tour, we visit the Ollantaytambo’s Archeological Park ruins. Lunch will be at leisure, so why not indulge in a spa treatment? We then have the opportunity to spot the birds of Urubamba, while at the hotel. From hawks to hummingbirds, there is an array. Dinner will be served at the hotel and paired with excellent wines.
After breakfast at the hotel, we embark on a special tour of the markets, before a gourmet Peruvian cooking lesson, lead by a professional. We enjoy the fruits of our labor over a languorous lunch. In the evening, we take a short trip to the Ananua restaurant, where we have a gastronomic experience for dinner, that you will want to write home about!
Early morning, we depart for Machu Picchu via the Vista dome Train. Breakfast will be served on board, before we arrive in Machu Picchu. We then check in at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo hotel, before departing for a private guided tour of the spectacular ruins – Citadel of Machu Picchu. We have lunch at a local restaurant, and dinner at Café Inkaterra.
After a leisurely morning (a private hike to the Citadel may be organized) and a tasty lunch at our hotel, we catch a train from Machu Picchu to Cusco. The luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham Train departs early evening and dinner, will be served on board as we gently journey through Peru. We arrive in Cusco early evening, where we spend the next two delightful nights!
After breakfast, we depart on a city tour of Cusco. We visit the Inca Museum, Cusco Cathedral, and San Blas Church. Expect artisan workshops and San Pedro markets, where we sample local fruits and cheeses. We then enjoy a wine tasting complete with a local Andean jazz musical performance. After, a traditional lunch will be served at a local Peruvian home. In the evening, we have a farewell dinner at the famous MAP Café.
After another delightful breakfast served at the property, a private vehicle could transfer you to Cusco Airport, where you could catch a flight home connecting through Lima. IF CONTINUING ONTO AREQUIPA: This afternoon, you depart from Wanchaq Station in Cusco on a luxury train journey that takes us to Arequipa. We spend two nights on the comfortable, yet impeccable and beautiful train. While on this adventure, expect private guided tours of Raqchi and La Raya, canapés in the regal bar car and cocktails that are free-flowing. We then arrive in Puno at the Lake Titicaca Station, where we spend the night on the train.
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over Lake Titicaca while enjoying breakfast on board. We then explore Lake Titicaca and visit Uros and Taquile islands, by way of boat. After the excitement on the water, we have a private lunch on Collate Beach on Taquile Island, where we enjoy a dancing and artisan craft display. Tea will be served at the station before we continue our adventure. Dinner will be served on board and the night spent in Saracocha.
After breakfast served on board, we continue our journey to Arequipa. En-route we delight in a tour of The Sumbay Caves and have lunch on the train. upon our arrival in Arequipa, we bid farewell to the train and experience a private luxury vehicle transfer to Casa Andina Premium. Here, we will check-in at the Casa Andina Premium and have some time to relax and enjoy the premium experience of the exquisite hotel. Dinner will be at leisure.
As the final day of the journey is upon us, a private Vehicle Transfer to Arequipa Airport awaits. From here, catch a flight to Lima Airport to embark on your journey home. Not quite ready for home?
