Upon arrival in Ecuador, enjoy a private transfer to your charming property. This afternoon, a local guide will lead a walking tour of Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcasing its cultural and historical treasures. In the evening, a welcome dinner awaits at one of our favorite renowned gourmet restaurants, paired with exquisite local and international wines.
After a delicious Ecuadorian breakfast, we fly to the stunning Galapagos Islands, a quick two-hour journey. Your private driver will escort you to Pikaia Lodge, your luxurious home for two nights. Enjoy a leisurely lunch with ocean views, followed by a complimentary spa treatment. End the day with a gourmet dinner paired with fine international wines.
After breakfast, for those eager to learn more about the endemic fauna and flora, we have arranged a morning hike in the surrounding jungle. We return to the property, after a delightful picnic, where you have ample time to relax. We toast to a successful adventure with sundowners and enjoy a gourmet dinner, paired with excellent international wines.
After breakfast, meet the Endemic crew and our conservation guide, who will provide an overview of the upcoming 4-night itinerary through the islands. Our first stop is Dragon Hill, home to a hypersaline lagoon visited by flamingos, pintail ducks, common stilts, and other bird species. A short hike to the hilltop reveals iguana nesting sites and stunning views of the bay. Tonight, dinner is served on board.
Today, we visit Cerro Brujo on San Cristobal Island, a pristine white-sand beach once explored by Charles Darwin. The beach is home to sea lions, marine iguanas, brown pelicans, and blue-footed boobies, with snorkeling opportunities in its turquoise waters. Next, we stop at Leon Dormido (Kicker Rock), two striking oceanic rocks teeming with seabirds. This renowned dive site offers encounters with rays, turtles, hammerhead sharks, and colorful reef fish. Sundowners are enjoyed at Isla Lobos, home to frigatebirds and other avian species. Dinner is served on board.
Today, we sail to Osborn Islet (Española Island) for a delightful marine excursion, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. After lunch, we head to Gardner Bay, known for its stunning beaches, vibrant waters, and rich marine life, including colorful fish, curious turtles, and playful sea lions. Our journey ends at Suarez Point, a wildlife haven featuring nesting seabirds, mockingbirds, Galápagos doves, hawks, marine iguanas, and oversized lava lizards along its rugged cliffs and pebbled shores. Dinner is served on board.
After breakfast, we head to Santa Fe Island, a volcanic uplift with the largest Opuntia cactus forest in the archipelago. Its cliffs host swallow-tailed gulls, tropicbirds, and shearwaters, while lava lizards and Santa Fe land iguanas roam the terrain. A turquoise lagoon offers calm waters for snorkeling with sea lions. After lunch, we return to Santa Cruz to visit the Darwin Research Station, learning about the islands' natural history, conservation efforts, and tortoise breeding projects. Dinner will be served on board.
We visit South Plaza, home to one of the largest land iguana populations, marine iguanas, and unique hybrid iguanas. The island’s striking mix of dry and coastal vegetation, panoramic cliffs, and rocky trails offers breathtaking views. Afterward, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Quito. Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
