Entre Celios Wine Hotel & Spa

Mendoza, Argentina

With just sixteen exquisite rooms in a spectacular setting – vineyards and mountains under an endlessly blue endless sky – Entre Cielos Mendoza is one of the dreamiest boutique hotels in Argentina. The food is as fabulous as the views, and the wine, including the hotel's own Malbec, might be even better. The pool and Hamamm spa add an extra layer of luxury. The sun shines 300 days of the year in Mendoza, and the pool at Entre Cielos is a fabulous place to soak it up, with views of the nearby snow-capped Andes range and extensive vineyards. The rooms are just as gorgeous, all with sleek lines and distinctive décor. It has to be said that the star-spangled sky here is as spectacular as the sun-filled version, and the hotel, sprawling over 8 attractive acres, has been designed to allow guests to make the most of both.
The restaurant, like the rooms, enjoys fabulous views and dishes up the best of seasonal local produce with a modern twist, perhaps smoked boar shoulder with white prunes and mashed potatoes or Stroganoff baby goat with mini gnocchi. The Dulce de leche is served in a chocolate cigar with confit orange cream. There are also, unusually for such a robustly carnivorous continent, several vegetarian options. Perhaps even more unusually, there is a full-on authentic six-stage hamam here, the first in Latin America, very spoiling and soothing, with icing on the cake options including foam massages and volcanic ash clay body masks.
