Welcome to Cartagena where your host and local partners greet you, cocktails in hands, at our luxury boutique property in the heart of Old Cartagena. After settling in your quarters, and maybe a jump in the pool, we have organized a 60-minute massage in the comfort of our property. Tonight, we make our way to Celele for our welcome dinner, and true Cartagena hospitality. It will be paired with some of Central and South America's best wines.
Today, we take on the local islands and beautiful beaches of the Cartagena area. After a short drive to the dock, we board our very own speedboat for a full day exploring the Rosario Islands. This chain of beautiful islands offers crystal-clear waters, great sandy beaches, and plenty of fun under the sun. Lunch, included, will be organized on shore while, onboard, an open bar is available. Tonight, dinner is at leisure, with your host's recommendations.
After a lovely breakfast made to order at the property, we begin our exploration of the town. Jump on your bikes (worry not, it is very flat) for a private guided tour of Cartagena's history. Along the way, we stop at local markets, and we follow this adventure with a hands-on cooking class at one of the local chef's. It is followed by a lovely lunch. Tonight, dinner is served at one of our favorite restaurants in town.
An early morning flight is taking us to Bogota for the second part of our journey. After settling at our property, we are met by our local guide for a private journey through the captivating streets of Bogotá, which includes stops at local gems where we enjoy a taste of Bogota through samples of what the town has best to offer. Later this afternoon, we are expected at Casa Medina for a memorable mixology class. Tonight, we regroup for a lovely dinner at Bogota's only Michelin-starred restaurant, paired with regional wines.
After spending the early morning at leisure (or sleeping in), we take you on a walk through the markets with our local Chef. During our expedition, we enjoy local delicacies and street foods. We continue the day with a hands-on cooking class followed by a lovely lunch. For those seeking a local experience, consider adding Salsa dancing lessons (a small supplement will apply). Tonight, dinner is at leisure with your host's best recommendations. (Long Day)
Our last leg on this journey brings us to the Coffee Triangle where we embark on an adventure through the lush landscapes of the jungle. Here, we will be discovering the secrets behind Colombia's world-renowned coffee production, acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At a local farmer's estate, we learn about the history of coffee, delve into some tasting, and enjoy lunch on-site prepared by locals. Our day ends at the property where guests can simply relax before dinner is served. (Long Day)
Today's program will be customized to each guest’s preferences. One activity of choice is included in your package, however, our concierge team would be delighted to incorporate more experiences upon request. From wildlife hiking discovery to waterfalls, from horse-riding, mountain biking, or learning more about coffee making and plantations to wellness/spa treatments, we will make sure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our farewell dinner is served at the property, and paired with regional wines..and coffee!
After a traditional breakfast at the property, you are transferred to the airport based on your selected flights. Yes, we must bid farewell for the time being, yet, you may extend with a few additional nights in Medellin, or beyond Colombia. Our travel experts would be delighted to assist in creating the perfect extension for you.
Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.
All listed retreats (hotels, villas, and barges) are, at times, subject to changes. In such rare instances, similar or higher standards will be upheld.
Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
