Welcome to Provence, your home for the next 7 nights. After settling into your luxurious accommodation, join us for a Provence-inspired aperitif on the patio, after which we depart for a welcome dinner at the incredible 3 Michelin Star "L'Oustau de Baumanière", on the steps of Les Baux de Provence and only minutes away.
Today’s adventure begins with a leisurely lunch in the town of Avignon, home to the Pope's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, we will visit L'Isle sur Sorgues, bustling with antique markets and glistening from the reflections of the numerous canals. As the day draws to a close, visit one of the local wineries, before dinner is served by Chef Fonzo.
Today we visit some of the best wineries in Provence. Beginning in Gigondas, we will indulge in a tasting, after which lunch will be served at the Michelin-star l'Oustalet (included). Our tour continues to a chateau in Châteauneuf du Pape for another wine tasting and visit of the cellars. As the sun sets, dinner will be prepared with wines from the Gigondas region.
Today, we head out to the Lavender areas of Provence. This full-day adventure has us start in Gordes and continues to the Plateau de Valensole. Along the way, we have organized a picnic in the lavender fields. The secrets behind the world-famous flower will be revealed with a visit to one of the local museums. Have your cameras primed to capture the beauty of purple filled fields, and a lavender-inspired dinner will be served on the estate.
This morning you will accompany our Chef to a nearby (and exceptional) market of St Remy de Provence. The large market encompasses everything from local produces, to antiques and clothing. Our Chef will conduct an authentic cooking class at the villa, and after lunch, we visit the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, followed by an olive oil tasting. Our Chef will serve dinner at the villa, paired with local wines.
After a morning and lunch at leisure at the villa (or an activity organized by our concierge), we travel to the old capital of Provence, Aix en Provence, to meander through the historic streets and shops. Later this afternoon, we stop at two of our favorite wineries at the bottom of Famed St Victoire Mountain. Dinner is at the villa and paired with some of Aix's wines.
Our last day in Provence is at leisure. Yet, our concierge and hosts would be happy to add more to your agenda. Why not return to St Remy, or visit nearby Arles and its famous Roman sites & artifacts. One may also wonder about the salty marshes of La Camargue, famed for its gypsy culture and white horses. Our farewell dinner and wine will be enjoyed at a local Michelin-starred restaurant, and paired with local wines.
We can either organize your airport transfers or help you to extend your stay beyond Provence. Assisted by our travel experts, you could take your love of food further north to Lyon, discovering the Camargues on the way.
