You are not invited to a boot camp. Rather, you are encouraged to indulge in some "me" time. Let us pamper you in our very own luxury eco-lodges, introduce you to divine nature experiences through the Osa Peninsula and rainforest, take you hiking on active volcanoes and show you how to soak the right way in natural hot springs. These are just some of the incredible and relaxing experiences we have in store for you. And with Costa Rica's natural beauty as the background, your daily yoga experience, all of the sudden, becomes even more special.
Our "Journeys of Renewal" are an invitation to re-connect with yourself, but most importantly, with nature. As we host you at "the most biologically intense place on Earth", experience pure joy and relaxation through nature walks, wildlife encounters, pampering massages as the rain falls, hot springs, great friendship and a week-long of healing.
Experience accommodations on both ends of the luxury spectrum: The pampering you have become accustomed to at your favorite properties, while also experiencing home away from home as we uncover one of National Geographic's Unique Eco Lodges, complete with some incredible local food and memorable massages as the rain falls.
From active volcanoes to natural hot springs, from snorkeling to observing Sea Turtles, from unspoiled jungles to one-on-one with nature, this journey of renewal focuses on you, your mind and your soul through the beauty of Costa Rica's tranquil landscapes, culture and scenery.
The only thing that can make yoga more beneficial and enjoyable to your experience is location! The exotic and beautiful backdrop for your daily yoga practice will calm and enrich your journey. Our host, certified yoga instructor will also make himself available for additional one-on-one sessions, and that is the Art In Voyage difference.
Although hiking and yoga are readily available on this journey, we aim to please our guests through a fluid and flexible experience. Do as much, or as little as you'd like. Guests will have plenty of opportunities to be active, while having the freedom to enjoy some alone time with your loved one or travel partner. This journey embraces your pace in finding balance, renewal and relaxation.
After landing in San Jose, you connect with your host and board a small private flight to what will be your home for the next 4 nights: Lapa Rios. The property, a National Geographic Unique Lodge, protects 1,000 acres of Central America’s last remaining tropical lowland rainforest in the Corcovado National Park. In this immersive destination, the real luxury is in living and breathing the jungle. Here, you’ll encounter iconic frogs and macaws; endangered monkeys and over 300 bird species. After an afternoon introductory walk of this eco-property, we regroup for a lovely welcome dinner, paired with wines.
We start with a morning yoga session (always optional in attendance), led by your host. After breakfast, we make our way into the National Park with a local certified Nature guide. Lying along Costa Rica’s south-western coast is the Osa Peninsula and the world-famous Corcovado National Park, crown jewel of Costa Rica. It is “the most biologically intense place on Earth”. Nearly all of Costa Rica’s mammal species make the Osa their home, as well as a disproportionate number of birds, reptiles and insects. Lunch will be served on one of the most secluded and pristine beaches. Dinner served at the lodge.
After our morning yoga session, breakfast and a morning at leisure so you may fully enjoy the property and its complimentary amenities (or, maybe a spa treatment?). This afternoon, we make our way to the Ocean. There, we have organized, for our guests interested, some Surf Classes. Lots of long right-breaking waves come around the point on this beach making it an excellent spot to get up and riding Costa Rican style (No experience required). For guests who may be a little less adventurous or looking for something different, we have other activities available, including zip-lining, horseback riding or sport fishing. Tonight, dinner is prepared and served by our local chef at the lodge.
We get an early start for a memorable day. The areas around the Osa Peninsula and Drake Bay are a true magical marine hot spots where you can observe 5 different species of dolphins playing, interacting, feeding, resting and more. We then head to the famous Cano Island Biological Reserve where we hold a lunch on the beach before a memorable dive (or snorkeling for guests not certified). Be prepared to see Spotted Dolphin, Bottle-nose dolphin, Rough-toothed dolphin and other cetacean species, as well as white-tipped reef sharks, rays, eels, Grunt fish, dozens of brightly colored tropical reef fish, and several sea turtle species. Back at the lodge, enjoy a sunset yoga before yet another incredible traditional dinner in a unique and private setting.
This morning, after our yoga session and breakfast, we must bid farewell to the rainforest and make our way to the home of hot springs and volcanoes. By way of a short flight and a road transfer, we arrive in the Arenal region mid-afternoon. After checking-in, the rest of the day is at leisure. We have included a spa credit which you may want to put to good use as we prepare for another two days of adventure. Private yoga sessions are always available with your host. Dinner is at leisure.
After breakfast, we make our way to the Arenal Volcano and park, where you can basque in scenic landscapes and walk along a lava trail. You will then have the opportunity to enjoy a natural spa moment and lunch at the Tabacon Hot Springs, followed by leisure time to explore the area.
Back at our property, a restorative yoga session in the jungle will close the evening. Dinner will be at leisure.
Today after breakfast, we make our way to Tenorio National Park where we soak in amazing views of its natural wonder. You will experience and hike the Rio Celeste Trail before enjoying a lunch in the National Park. Our return at Nayara takes us through more incredible scenery and once there, we relax with a sunset yoga session. Tonight, we hold our farewell dinner (paired with lovely wines) in a unique location on property.
After a morning yoga session for the most courageous, and breakfast, we must say farewell. A private transfer to the Liberia airport is organized. Should you want to extend, we have heard through the grapevine that Costa Rica has much more to offer. And if you are looking for something slightly different, neighboring Panama and Nicaragua also boast incredible tours and activities. Just have one of our expert assist in making this extension...a reality!
