Expect nothing but the sounds of crashing waves from afar, the beauty of the lagoon marine life, and the sights and sounds of a private island's fauna and flora.
This journey of renewal, like all the others in our collection, is designed to bring about inner calmness and overall well-being. Time is set aside for you to reconnect with yourself, and with mother nature. Realign your body and soul, restore balance, refresh your mindset, or simply relax. Far from being a boot camp, we bring you a program that is yours to own, with daily activities, yoga, meditation, and adventure, all available at leisure.
While in Tahiti, extend to Bora Bora for a romantic escape or let us fly you to Rangiroa for unique scuba diving experiences with hammerhead sharks and dolphins.
On arrival in Papeete, you are warmly greeted at the airport the Polynesian way (should you already be on the island, we will make arrangements to pick you up at your hotel, and give you the same treatment). We then board a quick domestic flight to the island of Raiata. After a swift boat ride, we arrive at our private island. A enjoy a welcome lunch, during which we discuss the week-long retreat and program. After a sunset yoga experience, our welcome dinner is served on the beach.
Our first morning begins with a traditional breakfast followed by a restorative yoga session and guided meditation. As with all activities during this journey, participation is completely optional. The rest of the day will be at leisure, with an outrigger discovery of the area, we invite our guests to join in. Before dinner, we become acquainted with two tribal leaders to discuss the Tahitian take on life and culture, essential to the inner peace they have mastered.
Choose to start your day with a sunrise yoga session (if you're in the mood) followed by an authentic breakfast. We then make our way to the reefs for an experiential private Motu picnic where we learn how to prepare a fresh ceviche from Tahiti locals. Following that, you will have the option to participate in snorkeling among the local sharks and rays. A sunset yoga session is on offer, before another incredible dinner.
This morning, after a sunrise yoga session and a traditional breakfast, take some time to relax, swim, snorkel, or allow us to arrange a scuba diving session for you. For guests who are interested, we have an active afternoon on offer, followed by lunch. We depart for Taha'a traverse, a scenic trail with an abundance of colorful wildflowers, plants and trees. The trail gradually climbs from Patio to Vaitoetoe Pass to a spectacular point that overlooks Haamene Bay. Wind-down from this active day with a sunset yoga session and dinner on the beach.
After breakfast, yoga, and some time at leisure (maybe a one-on-one private meditation session?), we take on the beauty of Taha'a's lagoon. And this, may we add, will be at the helm of your very own Hobbie Cat catamaran. With the assistance of your experienced guide, we learn the art of using the wind to direct your boat while visiting some of the most beautiful parts of the lagoon. This will be a fantastic way to learn patience, control, and balance. Before dinner, we enjoy an immersive Tahitian dance lesson.
Wake up to a morning at leisure and a yoga session. We then make our way to Taha'a Private Island where we spend time discovering their incredible coral gardens. A truly humbling and awe-inspiring experience. The day just keeps getting better, as an afternoon of massages and pampering awaits. This is, after all, an experience designed for renewal, rejuvenation, and reconnection with yourself. After freshening up at the property, we experience an authentic Tahitian dinner, entertained by local dancers and flame throwers.
Today, you're able to embrace a final morning and afternoon at leisure (most international flights do not leave until the evening). Mid to late afternoon, you are transferred to the airport for a short flight to Papeete International Airport. Our travel experts would be delighted to customize an extension to other Tahitian islands such as Bora Bora, Moorea, Tikehau or Rangiroa. Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.
All listed retreats (hotels, villas, and barges) are, at times, subject to changes. In such rare instances, similar or higher standards will be upheld.
Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $250 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $250 per person administrative fee.
