Settle into a spectacular estate overlooking Lake Trasimeno, indulge in Chef Kevin Fonzo's creations, and choose how much—or how little—you do each day.
Upon your arrival in, you will be collected and whisked on an adventure that begins with a self-guided visit to Orvietto, followed by a lovely, leisurely lunch (own account). We then take a short drive to what will be your stunning home for the exciting week that lies ahead of you. In the evening, our chef will tantalize your palate with traditional cuisine and perfectly paired wine. We welcome you to Umbria, a mesmerizing place, indeed. Rest assured that your hosts will do their utmost to cater to your needs, all you have to do is revel in the luxury and delight of your surroundings.
On this Sunday morning, we discover the incredible town of Assisi. Your private guide awaits for a 3-hour walking tour followed by lunch (own account) and the afternoon discovering the delights of the town and its intriguing shops. We then return to the estate where we have the opportunity to indulge in some leisure time, why not take a dip in the pool, or read a good book alongside it? Dinner and drinks will be served amidst the incredible views, as the sun sets over the impeccable estate.
À La Carte: $35 per person
Today, after a morning at leisure, our local chef Daniele introduces you to the art of making pasta and tiramisu in the comfort of our villa, all before lunch is served. After a quick "siesta," guests are invited to join their hosts for a casual visit to Perugia and its famous chocolate by stopping at some of the local artisans for a tasting. Tonight is pizza night when guests are invited to join our chef around the outdoor pizza and make their very own.
À La Carte: $110 per person
After a lovely morning at leisure, we depart for Spoleto and its award-winning streets. There, flowers of all colors and shapes decorate ornate balconies and stairways. After lunch (own account - guests invited to join us at our favorite Michelin-inspired eatery), we depart for our truffle hunting experience followed by a memorable truffle-inspired dinner in a unique setting of the Montefalco area.
À La Carte: $187 per person
Today we venture into Montefalco and start by visiting a family farm where animals, pepper the fields. We first take a stroll through the beautiful hilltop village of Montefalco, where we become acquainted with the locals that produce linen and olive oil. To end our adventurous day, we visit a local farm where we learn about Umbrian cheeses and enjoy a lovely lunch. Rest of the day at leisure, followed by dinner at the villa.
À La Carte: $175 per person
After another wonderful breakfast, we make our way to Tuscany. We start with Siena, home to the famous "Palio", where our local guide greets us for a short, yet fun tour of the city's main attractions. After lunch (own account), we hit up a smaller yet not any less exciting town of Tuscany: Montepulciano. Tonight, we enjoy a lovely dinner at a 14th-century palace's wine cellar, paired with some of the region's most incredible wines.
À La Carte: $85 per person
Today is yours to do as you please, do as much or as little as you please. Relax by the pool, or experience an array of exciting activities. If staying at the villa, lunch will be included. Be it horseback riding and hiking, boating on the lake, or shopping for locally made cashmere and ceramic products, we will be delighted to assist. In the evening, our Chef prepares an Umbria and Tuscan-inspired meal to remember, paired with some of our favorite wines.
Time to say "Ciao a Tutti". Your transfer back to Rome will be included (to either the airport or a city - Transfers to other cities can also be arranged for a small supplement). Why leave so soon, though? Have our team design the perfect extension around Italy or Europe, or stay in the same villa for a second week, as Tim, our Orlando-based wine expert joins Chef Fonzo for a week focusing on wine tasting through Tuscany.
We’ve just returned home from an amazing trip to Umbria, Italy!! We had a fantastic time, the villa and its grounds were breathtaking!! Mikael & Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable vacation… and they succeeded!! Already booked our next trip with Art In Voyage!!
Wonderful week in Umbria. The food and wine were fabulous! Our daily tours were fun, and we learned a lot. It would be impossible to say what I liked the most, because everything was great! Our hosts went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were met. It was perfect!

Each day I thought well they can’t do better than this and the next day they did. you didn’t even know they were paying attention to our conversations but then they would adjust the schedule and you realized it was because they were paying attention to what we wanted. Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.
All listed retreats (hotels, villas, and barges) are, at times, subject to changes. In such rare instances, similar or higher standards will be upheld.
Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
