Roaming in one national park, you will spot an incredible variety of wildlife. Embark on thrilling game drives through the Kruger National Park tracking down The Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo), hippo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, meerkat, kudu, hyena, and ostrich, just to name a few. Nestled in the bushveld, your luxurious private tented camp awaits you with a welcoming ambiance.
There are more than 150 cellars in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, both part of the Cape Winelands region (45 minutes away from Cape Town). Franschhoek, meaning “French Corner”, will impress you with not only superb wines, but also some of the finest art galleries in South Africa, gracious Cape Dutch estates, and exquisite cuisine.
After being transported to our host property by our private driver, unpack and relax. We have set aside a one-hour spa treatment to help with the jet lag. Late afternoon, we will walk a short distance to the famous V&A Waterfront to visit the African Modern Art museum and enjoy the sunset on top of the remarkable Silo Hotel. A 3-course dinner, with wine pairings in a private and eclectic Silo Hotel dining room, will end the evening.
This morning, we will meet our local certified guide for a history and culture tour, which will include a stop at the colorful Bo Kaap district. After a traditional Cape Malay lunch, we will travel up the iconic Table Mountain in a cable car. The mountain is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and offers panoramic views of the peninsula. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely dinner with our recommendations.
At midday, we will make our way to the district of Woodstock to visit the famous Old Biscuit Mill market. Here, experience local artisans, food stalls, and live music acts. Enjoy a gin tasting, a few feet away from the market, after which we make a stop at one of our favorite eateries in the Kirstenbosch Gardens, which lies in the shadows of Table Mountain. In the evening, you will be invited to accompany us to another one of our best restaurants for a memorable dinner (included).
Explore the Table Mountain National Park on this all-day adventure. First, we stop at the quaint seaside town of Kalk Bay and continue to the penguin colony where we may get the chance to walk among them. Afterward, we journey to the southernmost tip of Africa to the Cape of Good Hope. The day will draw to a close with a visit to a winery in Constantia, followed by a sunset drive around Chapmans Peak. Leisurely enjoy one of our favorite eateries, or have our host organize something special for you and your travel companion on your last night in the Mother City.
Accompany us to the heart of the Cape Winelands where the Wine Fairy meets us for a day of all things wine. After carefully selecting 2-3 wineries based on our guests' preferences, we start a fun and fascinating wine tour in a breathtaking setting. For lunch, we will prepare a picnic in the vineyard for your enjoyment. Tonight is at leisure and dining recommendations for a restaurant in town will be provided, or opt to experience authentic Cape cuisine offered at the beautiful wine estate where we will be spending the night.
Have a leisurely morning or partake in one of our suggested activities, including biking, wine tastings, or spa treatments in the vineyards. In the afternoon, we will have a horseback riding excursion with dramatic mountain ranges as your backdrop and stops for wine tasting, of course. As night falls, we will take you to one of our favorite eateries for another impeccable dinner paired with wines from the region (included).
Today our journey to Kruger National Park for a true African safari experience begins. After a short flight to the Kruger, our team will greet you and whisk you away to your luxury tented lodge, “home” for the next 3 nights (for the June departure, accommodation will be luxury huts). Your first game drive starts on arrival, followed by sundowners and a three-course dinner.
Enjoy two game drives today in the highly acclaimed Kruger National Park, South Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary, and one of the world's largest and most impressive game reserves. Our private guide will lead us deep into the African bushveld for intimate wildlife encounters. Optional activities including, walking safaris and massages will be on offer.
Today, our guide will take us on two final game drives to end off the African safari part of this journey. We celebrate our final evening in the Kruger National Park with an authentic "farewell to the bush" dinner...beneath the stars, surrounded by the very wildlife guests have been chasing for the past few days.
