Highlights

Stop, and Smell the Lavender

As picturesque as a Van Gogh or Matisse painting, the lavender and sunflower fields create vibrant landscapes and a bouquet of scents. Enjoy olives and truffles, alongside the crystal waters, a tranquil assault of the senses. Of course, the vibrant fields of lavender which Provence is famous for, are best enjoyed when they are blooming - from June, hence the departure date of this journey.

Dive into a New Culinary World

Accompany our executive chef and Provence-born CEO on an alluring experience. Stroll through the local markets, partake in cooking classes, and relish traditional dinners at our villa. Culinary treasures, such as bouillabaisse, boeuf en daube (infused with local herbs and spices) are on the menu. Marvel and imbibe in the plentiful wine varietals, paired with the robust flavors of Provence.

Take a Leap into the Past

History-rich Provence is home to numerous medieval bridges and abbeys. The Pope’s Palace in Avignon, a miniature Champs Elysées is alive with restaurants, and the shops in Aix en Provence will certainly delight you.

Feel at home in Provence

Make yourself comfortable in our luxury home, where you can unpack, and relax for the week. Take a lazy swim in the pool overlooking a scenic valley, and indulge in the meals prepared by our world-class chef whilst watching the sunset.

Day 1

Welcome to Provence, your home for the next 7 nights. After settling into your luxurious accommodation, enjoy the pool, and later, join us for a Provence-inspired aperitif on the patio. Tonight, Chef Fonzo prepares a traditional Provence Dinner, paired with local wines.

Day 2

Today’s adventure begins with a leisurely lunch in the town of Avignon, home to the Pope's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, we will visit L'Isle sur Sorgues, bustling with antique markets and glistening from the reflections of the numerous canals. As the day draws to a close, visit one of the local wineries, before dinner is served by Chef Fonzo.

Cooking Class & Baux de Provence

Day 3

This morning we spend the day in an 18th century farm of the famous "Provence Guarrigues" where Chef Paul and his lovely partner India await for a unique and memorable cooking class. There, you will learn about some of the local cuisines, dishes and in-season produces. It will be followed by lunch under the pine trees, overlooking Paul's Olive trees and lavender. Later this afternoon, we enjoy the villa's amenities before another homecooked meal prepared by Chef Fonzo.

Chateauneuf du Pape & Gigondas

Day 4

Today we visit some of the best wineries in Provence. Beginning in Gigondas, we will indulge in a tasting, after which lunch will be served at the Michelin-star l'Oustalet (included). Our tour continues to a chateau in Châteauneuf du Pape for another wine tasting and visit of the cellars. As the sun sets, dinner will be prepared with wines from the Gigondas region.

Lavender for Miles

Day 5

Today, we head out to the Lavender areas of Provence. This full-day adventure has us start in Gordes and continues to the Plateau de Valensole. Along the way, we have organized a picnic in the lavender fields. The secrets behind the world-famous flower will be revealed with a visit to one of the local museums. Have your cameras primed to capture the beauty of purple filled fields, and a lavender-inspired dinner will be served on the estate.

Aix en Provence & Wine tasting

Day 6

After a morning and lunch at leisure at the villa (or an activity organized by our concierge), we travel to the old capital of Provence, Aix en Provence, to meander through the historic streets and shops. Later this afternoon, we will pay a visit to Cassis and its famed rose wines. Dinner is at the villa and paired with some of today's wines.

Day 7

Our last day in Provence is at leisure. Yet, our concierge and hosts would be happy to add more to your agenda. Why not uncover the street of St Remy de Provence where Van Goh ended up doing some of his best work, or visit nearby Arles and its famous Roman sites & artifacts. Our farewell lunch is held at Oustau de Baumaniere, where Chef Glenn Viel welcomes us at his 3 Michelin Stars restaurant in the heart of Les Baux de Provence. Our farewell dinner and wine will be enjoyed at the property, prepared by Chef Fonzo.

The trip exceeded our expectations, the attention to detail was exemplary. Mikael and Kevin constantly made sure our wants and needs were taken care of. The dinners at the villa by Kevin were excellent and our and lunches at Michelin star restaurants were outstanding. Wonderfully relaxing visit to Provence staying in a beautiful villa in Gordes. Just the right amount of touring, shopping, sailing, and wine tasting. And of course, plenty of delicious meals, in the villa thanks to Chef Kevin, or in the amazing restaurants reserved by Mikael. We could take a car or bicycle and go anywhere on our own but had no need to do so. Traveling with Mikael and Chef Kevin is just plain fun. MIkael helped with our pre-tour visit to Paris as well. Loved it all.
