This 7-night Journey Your Way edition brings you to Tuscany during the golden calm of Thanksgiving week—harvest markets, new-oil tastings, cellar warmth, and fewer crowds. You’ll have a private villa as your base, daily options to design your own experience (join as little or as much as you'd like), and AIV hosts to curate it all. Expect one day in Siena, a wine-focused day, a cultural day in Florence, plus adventures through Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino. And yes—Thanksgiving dinner, Italian-style.
• Arrive Florence (or Rome). Private transfer to your home for the week. • Welcome aperitivo, villa orientation, and chef-prepared Tuscan dinner with wine pairing.
• Walk the streets of Siena as the town prepares for the holidays • Enjoy a leisurely lunch on Piazza di Campo • Tonight, another Tuscan-inspired dinner. On option: A private guided tour of Siena
• Pienza for pecorino tastings and postcard-worthy lanes. • Montepulciano for Vino Nobile town strolls. Light lunch suggested, with local products. • Sunset back at the villa. Dinner at one of our favorite trattorias. On option: Thermal soak in Bagno Vignoni; private photo session; e-bike roll among cypress
• Short drive to Florence where you enjoy a day at leisure. • Afternoon your way: Uffizi or Accademia timed entry (on request), artisan ateliers, leather shopping, cafés. • Return to the villa; Pizza night with our Chef. On option: Private guided tour and/or tickets to museums and sites.
• Full wine day: two contrasting estates (e.g., family-run + design-forward). • Guided tastings (Brunello, Rosso, IGT), cellar tour, and wine-pairing lunch. • Return to villa; light chef supper and fireside lounge.
• Slow morning at the villa, or join the Chef at the market. • Afternoon hands-on cooking (seasonal contorni, fresh pasta, classic dolci), part of the feast tonight. • Evening Thanksgiving feast—Tuscan ingredients, family-style service, exceptional pairings. On option: Massage at the villa.
• Free-form day to design with your host: ceramics and cheese route, extra Siena time, hiking ridgelines, more wineries, or simply villa chill. • Farewell aperitivo followed by one more dinner prepared by Chef Fonzo. On option: Balloon flight (weather-permitting); classic-car scenic drive; private yoga.
Time to say "Ciao a Tutti". Your transfer back to Rome will be included. Transfers to other cities can also be arranged for a small supplement. Why leave so soon, though? You are right on time for the start of the Christmas Markets!
We’ve just returned home from an amazing trip to Umbria, Italy!! We had a fantastic time, the villa and its grounds were breathtaking!! Mikael & Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable vacation… and they succeeded!! Already booked our next trip with Art In Voyage!!
Wonderful week in Umbria. The food and wine were fabulous! Our daily tours were fun, and we learned a lot. It would be impossible to say what I liked the most, because everything was great! Our hosts went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were met. It was perfect!

Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges. In such rare instances, Art In Voyage guarantees delivery of the content of the itinerary yet, in a different order.
All listed retreats (hotels, villas, and barges) are, at times, subject to changes. In such rare instances, similar or higher standards will be upheld.
Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 60 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $1,000 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $1,000 per person administrative fee.
