Gary Bogdon has been a photojournalist his entire professional career with over 30 years of experience working on staff at The Miami Herald and The Orlando Sentinel before working for over 15 years at Sports Illustrated as a contract photographer. His camera has always given him the opportunity and was his vehicle of exploring and traveling the world from India to Russia, Mexico to Spain and all over the USA.
He has always been fascinated by people and cultures of other lands in far away places. He enjoys helping others “see” with their camera’s the way that he sees the world , whether it’s amazing landscapes or the people in them.
His favorite destinations are Kauai, Costa Rica, and Barcelona
Fun Fact: Gary once had a brief motion picture appearance alongside actor Tom Cruise in the 1990 film ‘Days of Thunder’ as he was photographing him during filming scenes at Daytona International Speedway - Yet, he didn’t quit his day job !

Australia/New Zealand, Greece and Tuscany would be on my bucket list
Spend time with my wife and family, I'm a golfer too so love time for that, and enjoy spending time with friends over a nice dinner and wine, and laughing a lot

I always knew (since I was about 15-16 years old ) that I wanted to be a photojournalist which involves lots of travel , so that’s the career I began and I’ve done my entire life , and it’s evolved over the years and I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively
I'll stay away from politics, and go with Ellen DeGeneres ( so funny ), George Clooney ( my wife will vote for him too ) Oprah (who doesn't love her ), Michael Jordan , Sting

It's a tie- Costa Rica and Kauai, Hawaii
