It is renowned for its sophisticated cuisine and wine, such as Barolo as well as its abundance of baroque architecture. On this epicurean journey, led by our executive chef, Art in Voyage invites you to experience cherished Piedmont, complete with incredible food, exceptional wine, and breathtaking scenery. We should also mention that the vineyard landscapes of Langue-Roero and Monferrato are UNESCO World Heritage sites! This journey is perfectly suited for guests who delight in being active, with over 330 biking trails and ample opportunities to relax in hot springs.
Piedmont is home to rich Renaissance architectural landmarks. Several have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites including, Sacri Monti, the residences of the Royal House of Savoy, its vineyard landscape of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.
Piedmont is loved for its food and wine. The culture has given rise to the Slow Food Movement, based in Bra. Our Executive Chef turned host has arranged a series of authentic culinary experiences, that have been personally tested.
The region is renowned for its hot spring spa centers that provide guests with the chance to experience the proven beneficial properties the water boasts. Or, indulge in a Vinotherapie spa treatment, which uses grape pip extracts.
Surrounded by gorgeous scenery, the area offers more than 330 bike trails across vineyards, woodlands, hilltop villages, and into valleys. Both properties are at the center of Piedmont and brim with outdoor activities for the adventurous.
Receive a private transfer service from Milan airport, Milan city or train station. After a 2 hour drive, we reach our destination and home for the next 7 nights, in the Langhe region. Here, we will be greeted by our journey hosts and award-winning chef, Kevin Fonzo. In the afternoon, enjoy a complimentary spa treatment, followed by a welcome reception in the garden. As night falls, we serve a 3-course dinner, perfectly paired with wine, at the property's Michelin-starred restaurant.
After a languorous morning, our host and chef take us to Ceretto Winery for a tasting and private tour. We will be guided through the vegetable and herb garden as well as the greenhouse, by the executive chef. We then indulge in a picnic, followed by a visit to Alba for a late afternoon self-guided adventure. Alba was founded in pre-Roman times and had remarkable growth until the Renaissance. We recommend that you explore the ancient city and cathedral and have dinner at Ceretto's.
Today begins with chocolate! We will be treated to a private visit of the Ferrero Rocher factory. Enjoy learning about the process of making the world renowned chocolate before a tasting. We continue to Barbaresco, where we sample local wines, before lunch. We then visit Casale Monferrato, the capital of the ancient Dukedom of Monferrato. Boasting several buildings with unique architectural styles including, the fortress, the Civic Tower and the cathedral. Dinner will be at leisure.
As we are now mid-way through our journey, we take today to relax and enjoy an entire day at leisure, with an array of pursuits available. For guests eager to discover more, your journey hosts will be on standby to assist and arrange anything your heart desires. Or, simply bask in the luxury the property offers and indulge in a treatment at the spa facility. In the evening, accompany us for a dinner at Guido da Costigliole for a delectable 3-course meal.
Today, we mimic Italian chefs! With a glass of Spumante or Prosecco in hand, our local chef welcomes us to a farm where we learn to make fresh pasta and an array of other Italian dishes, with a focus on Piedmont cuisine. After our culinary adventure, we enjoy lunch and complete the day with a stop at the G.C Vajra winery for a private visit and tasting. In the evening, our host takes us to Barolo, where we discover this charming town and have dinner at leisure.
Today we hunt famous Piedmont truffles, followed by lunch at Tra Arte E Querce. We then discover Acqui Terme, an ancient city founded by the Romans, famous for its original aqueducts. In the old town, we admire "La Bollente", a white stone structure built to protect the hot springs, with water temperatures of 75°. After meandering through the town, we return to the property where we indulge in the hot spring waters at the spa. Dinner will be at leisure.
This morning, how about a hot air balloon ride over the vineyards? At dawn, we discover Piedmont from the sky and fall in love with remarkable views. After the exhilarating ride, we enjoy a special and exclusive breakfast in the vineyards, celebrating the grand experience. The rest of the day will be at leisure, with our recommendations. In the evening, we host our farewell dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant Marc Lanteri, where we have a 3-course dinner, paired with divine wines.
This morning, we could privately transfer you to Milan airport, city or train station. Or else, you could extend your stay to Lake Como or Venice! What about venturing beyond Italy?
