Winter Flavors of New York | 2022

Hosted by Food Critic Scott Joseph | December 07 - 11, 2022

Join Orlando Food Critic Scott Joseph on a 5 day/4 night escape to uncover some of the best food experiences in New York City during the upcoming Christmas holidays. Michelin-starred & gastronomic dinners, cooking class, artisan food markets & lunches, food tastings, high tea, handcrafted cocktails, and the Rockettes await!
This short yet packed journey will take you from Central Park to Chelsea, Little Italy to Chinatown, Broadway to Rockefeller, without forgetting a must-stop in the West Village. We have concocted a diverse itinerary, in its districts as much as in its cuisines encountered along the way.

Welcome to New York City

Day 1
On arrival, you are whisked away by our private driver and greeted at your hotel by your host. Around 4 pm, we make our way to Bergdorf for a high tea experience. OverLooking the incredible Central Park, we will be served a fantastic selection of Damman Freres best teas.

After some time to freshen up at the property, we head out for cocktails followed by our welcome dinner, paired with excellent wines.

Little Italy In All Its Splendor

Day 2
This morning, after a lovely breakfast at our property, we make our way to nearby Little Italy where a food tasting adventure takes place. Of course, it goes without saying that we will be discovering some of the best local artisans as we tour the neighborhood. Our lunch is held at the famed Da Gennero.

Later this afternoon, you will be able to show off your talents as an apprentice Chef during a fun and engaging cooking class at Degustibus Cooking School. It is followed by dinner, paired with wines.

Cheese & Broadway

Day 3
This morning, we take a stroll to Murray Cheese Cave for a tour and tasting. It is followed by lunch there, with a focus on a variety of local and international cheeses. The afternoon is at leisure, yet, short-lived as we are expected at the Radio Music Hall for a later afternoon with the Rockettes.

To close on a Christmas Spectacular, we enjoy dinner at Charlie Palmer Steakhouse, a staple in New York, but not before having rooftop cocktails at St Cloud.

Lower East Side & Top of the Rock

Day 4
After breakfast at the property, we make our way to the lower Eastside, where we enjoy a 2-hour Jewish food tour. It is followed by a light lunch in Soho.
This afternoon, we make our way to Top Of The Rock for a private visit of the iconic building, and incredible views at its top. For those interested, end the day dabbling at ice-skating on the Rockefeller Plaza Ice Rink.

Our farewell dinner is held at one of the many incredible Michelin-starred restaurants of the big Apple. Our selection will be based on how well they have done in 2022 and will be picked, with care and attention to detail, by your host and food critic, Scott. There, wines are carefully paired with a 4-course menu.

Why must it end?
